Fresh Start Opportunity

Are you currently a homeless Veterans looking for an opportunity, a slight helping hand, to get back on your feet and retransition appropriately into the civilian sector.


A resident will be assisted with the complex set of factors influencing their homelessness – extreme shortage of affordable housing, livable income, and access to health care. Furthermore, residents who have lingering effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse, and whose military occupations and training did not transfer to the civilian workforce, will be assisted as needed.

  • What I should know to be a Resident

    Recker's Outreach is not a facility; however, there are ground rules to applying for, selection, and milestone completion of the assistance being provided. 

  • May I become a Resident if I have participated before?

    Recker's Outreach is a re-homing opportunity that allows a Veteran up to 9 months to successfully retransition into the civilian sector. Therefore, the opportunity is unfortunately only available once. 

  • What should I know to be a Resident

    Success must come from the motivation and dedication of the Veteran. 

  • What should I know to be a Resident

    As a resident, you will be expected to complete medical appointments, job-seeking, and self-improvement and enrichment activities.
